b. 18 Jan 1926, d. 29 Nov 1997.  James Ronald Galer, called Ronald, was born to Rev. Ray and Ethel (Baxter) Galer in Welcome, MN.  He received his education in the Jeffers and Windom,  MN public schools. Prior to finishing high school, he enlisted in the Seabees during WWII.  After his discharge, he returned to Windom and graduated from Windom High School in 1947.

In 1950, he married Wilma Leona Anderson.  He furthered his education at Hamline University and Gustavus Adolphus College.  He was ordained into the ministry in 1962 and served in various churches throughout MN.  In 1991, Ronald and Wilma returned to Windom, and he retired from active ministry in 1994.

He is buried at the Mount Olivet Cemetery in Mankato, MN.
