b. 06 Aug 1927; d. 21 Dec 2016.  Orvie August Kircher, son of Ernest and Gertie Kircher, was born in Lamberton, MN.  He served in the U.S. Army during both the World War II and Korean War eras.  He was inducted the first time at Fort Snelling, MN, on 31 Oct 1945 and served until Jul 1946; he later re-entered the Army in Feb 1952 and served until Feb 1954.  During his second enlistment, Orvie served as a ‘Truck Driver’ with the 107th Field Artillery Battalion, 28th Infantry Division, in Germany.

Orvie married Eulalie Fox in Sep 1954.  They raised four children.  Orvie worked at the Fox Milling Company and, after it was renamed the Sanborn Farmer’s Elevator Mill, he managed it.  His employment was for 35 years.

Orvie Kircher died in Redwood Falls, MN in 2016 and is buried at Sanborn Cemetery, Redwood County, MN.
