Max P. Ohlson

b. 29 Jul 1931; d. 25 Sep 2017. Max Paul Ohlson, son of Ole and Carrie Ohlson of Westbrook, MN, was inducted into the U.S. Army on 30 Sep 1952. He completed basic training at Fort Knox, KY, before being sent to Korea, where he served with the 28th Trans. Truck Company in 1953. He was discharged in 1954.
Max married Lois Mae Craig in 1955; they divorced in 1988. They had three children. Max owned the Westbrook Hatchery and Produce in Westbrook. Then he was employed as Ag Manager at Monsanto Co. in Jeffers, MN, and later was the Fertilizer Division Manager at Farmers Grain in Storden, MN. He later worked for Overholt Crop Insurance and was an Insurance Agency Manager in Slayton, MN. He was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church and a member of Westbrook Volunteer Fire Department.
He is buried at the Westbrook Cemetery.
