b. 23 Nov 1906, d. 24 Jun 1980.  Marvin was born in Lincoln, NE to William and Xenia (Miles) Dawley. When he was 10 years old, the family moved to Le Center, MN. After receiving his education, he worked for the Hallet Construction Company in St. Peter, MN before entering the Navy during WWII. Following his service, he was re-employed at the Hallet Construction Company.

He married Veronica Rheaume on 25 Feb 1940; they had 1 daughter.

From 1946-1973, he was employed by area railroad companies.  From 1955-1973, he was a track supervisor with Chicago/Northwestern.  From 1961 – 1980 the family lived in Mountain Lake, MN.

He is buried at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
