b. 16 Apr 1926; d. 06 Feb 2002.  Lloyd LeRoy “Bud” Marsh, son of Irvin and Ruth (Smith) Marsh of Jeffers, was born in Amboy Twp, Cottonwood County.  He served in the US Navy during the World War II era and the US Army during the Korean War and beyond.  He entered the Army about Dec 1948 and, during the Korean War, served in Japan; Korea; Camp McCoy, WI; Camp Atterbury, IN; Fort Riley, KS; Fort Knox, KY; and Germany.  He later served at Fort Benning, GA, in 1955, before returning to Germany in the late 1950’s for another tour of duty there.

Bud Marsh died at his home in Prior Lake, MN, in 2002.  He had eight children and is buried at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, MN.  His gravestone indicates he also served in the military during the World War II era as well as the Vietnam War era.
