b. 15 Jul 1923;  d. 26 Aug 1992.  Leslie Clarence Morris was born to Clarence and Linda (Gilberg) Morris at Sherburn, MN.

During WWII, he served in the 9th Infantry Division of the U.S. Army and participated in the Normandy Invasion where he was wounded and received the Purple Heart.

He married Mary Jane Hiney in 1947; they had 6 children and  lived and worked in Jackson and Martin counties.  In 1967, Leslie began working for Toro Manufacturing in Windom and retired from work there in 1982.  In 1984, the couple moved to Ceylon, MN where Leslie was active in raising and showing horses.

Member of  Disabled American Veterans.

Buried at Lake Belt Cemetery, Ceylon, MN.
