b. 11 Dec 1935.  Jim Glidden, son of Joseph and Mearn (Iverson) Glidden, attended Windom High School.  He was inducted into the U.S. Army in Feb 1954.  He served three years, which included a tour of duty in Germany, and was discharged in Jan 1957.  His military occupation included being a  radio operator. He received the National Defense Medal, Army of Occupation Medal, and a Good Conduct Medal for his service.

He farmed in Springfield Township, Cottonwood Co., MN after his military service.  After he retired, he and his wife moved into Windom, MN.
