b. 22 Oct 1892; d. 22 Jan 1963. Henry Hanson was born in Westbrook, Twp., Cottonwood Co., MN to Lawrence and Anna Hanson.  Henry attended rural school in Westbrook Twp. through the 6th grade. At the time of his enlistment in WWI, he worked for a road construction company at Turtle Lake, ND.

On 24 Jul 1918, Henry enlisted in the U.S. Army while living in McLean Co., ND.  On 30 Jul 1919, Private 1st Class Hanson was discharged.

After his discharge, Henry worked as a farm laborer for Julius W. Johnson in Storden Twp., Cottonwood Co. MN. In the 1920s, he married Mathilda (last name unknown) and moved to Slayton, MN where they lived until 1943. Henry worked as a road contractor while living in Slayton.In 1943, his family moved to the Minneapolis, MN area where they lived until Henry’s death.

Buried in Ft. Snelling National Cemetery,  Hennepin Co., MN.
