b. 30 Jun 1932, d. 6 Feb 1998.  Harold Garland Hoffert was born to Otto W. and Elizabeth (Wegner) Hoffert in Bemidji, MN.  He grew up in the Blackduck and Aldrich area where he attended school.

On 16 Jan 1953, he entered the U.S. Army, serving as Private First Class in Germany with Battery D, 45th Anti-Aircraft Artillery Battalion. He was discharged on 30 Dec 1954.

On 9 Jul 1953, he married Dorothy Mae Schuur; they had 1 daughter.

Following his discharge, he returned to MN where he worked as a pipefitter and welder. In 1974, he began his own business, Hoffert Plumbing, in Mt. Lake.

Buried at St. Olaf Lutheran Church Cemetery in Odin, MN.
