b. 09 Jun 1933; d. 20 Dec 2007.  Harm Boltjes, son of Art and Ikka (Schuur) Boltjes, was born in Iona, MN, in Murray County.  He was baptized in the Presbyterian faith at the Westbrook Presbyterian Church and attended Country School District #47.  As a young boy, his family moved to a farm near Currie, MN and Harm later attended Tracy Public Schools.

Harm worked with his family on the farm for several years as a young man, until in Jul 1953 he enlisted in the U. S. Army.  He served during the Korean War in Germany as a Tank Driver in the 2nd Armored Division.  In Jun 1955, Harm received his Honorable Discharge with the rank of Corporal.  He then returned to his home where he farmed with his father and also worked for Swift’s in Marshall for fifteen years.

Harm Boltjes died in 2007 in Slayton, MN;  he is buried at the Westbrook Cemetery, Westbrook, MN.
