Glen Keith Goeman, son of Edward and Guida (Kleven) Goeman of Jeffers, MN,  enlisted in the U.S. Navy in Oct 1964.  He was sent to the Naval Training Center at Great Lakes, IL, for basic training.

Glen underwent further training at Portsmouth, VA, and Camp Lejeune, NC, before being assigned as a ‘Hospital Corpsman’ to the 9th Marines in Vietnam in Apr 1966.  He served in Vietnam for one year and was awarded the Navy Commendation Medal for his tour of duty there.  He returned to the U.S. in Apr 1967 and was transferred back to Great Lakes, IL.  Glen was discharged in Aug 1968.

Glen married Janice Ruth Kober on 30 Nov 1968.
