b. 24 Aug 1940; d. 22 Jan 2019.  Gary Francis Lutterman was born to Albert and Aileen (Riordan) Lutterman in Sibley, IA. He received his education in Windom, MN graduating in 1959.

On 17 Apr 1961, Gary entered active military service in the U.S. Army Signal Corps Central Office. Later in 1961, he was transferred from Fort Riley, KS, to Fort Monmouth, NJ, in order to attend “Communication School”. After completing this training at Fort Monmouth, he was sent to Germany in Jan 1962 where he was stationed near Lenggries, Germany, as a ‘Wire Chief, Central Dial Repairman’ at the rank of Specialist 4th Class. He received the Expert (Rifle M-1) and the Army Commendation Medal for his service. Gary was honorably discharged on 3 Apr 1964.

After his discharge, he continued his education at the Jackson (MN) Vocational School and received an Ag Degree in 1966.

On 18 Jul 1964, Gary married Mavis Schmidt; they had three children.  The family lived in Windom and later in Gaylord, MN for thirty-nine years. Gary was employed in agronomy sales for Cenex/Land O’Lakes Afronomy Company for thirty-eight years. While living in Gaylord, Gary was a member of the American Legion and the Knights of Columbus.

He is buried at the Gaylord City Cemetery, Gaylord, MN.
