b. 11 Jan 1919, d. 23 July 2012. Everett Elting Brown was born to Erwin and Dolly (Ridgway) Brown in Elm Creek Twp. in Martin Co., MN. Educated in an Elm Creek Twp. country school.  He was drafted into the Army in 1942 and served in North Africa and Italy.  In 1944 he received a furlough to come home because 2 of his brothers, John and David, had been KIA. While on furlough, Everett married Betty Jean Lindstrand. He then returned to Italy and was honorably discharged in 1945. A year later they moved to a farm house near the Des Moines River north of Jackson, MN.  In 1963 they moved to a home near Bergen, MN and lived there for 29 years. He farmed and drove truck for Johnson Livestock for many years. Everett retired in 1992 when he and Betty moved to an acreage in rural Bingham Lake, MN. In 2008, he became a resident of the Good Samaritan Society –the Village in Mt. Lake, MN. Buried at Memory Gardens Cemetery in rural Windom, MN.
