b. 01 Jan 1933.  Edward L. Huls, son of Thomas and Marie Huls of Westbrook, MN, was inducted into the U.S. Army in Nov 1957.  He was assigned to Fort Bliss, TX, for basic training. Following completion of basic training, Edward was transferred to Fort Knox, KY, for further training.  In Sep 1955, he was sent to Fort Richardson, AK, where he served with the 167th Anti-Aircraft Battalion.  He was transferred with this unit to Fort Lewis, WA, in mid-1956, and was discharged in late 1956.

Edward married Beulah Gunderman in Jan 1957.
