Eddison “Mick” Christians

b. 6 Jan 1939.  Eddison “Mick” Christians was born in Adrian, MN to  Harm and Pearl (Venenga)  Christians.  He attended the Adrian Schools  and Mankato State University where he graduated with a degree in business and economics.

Mick entered the U.S. Army in January of 1955 and was sent to Ft. Ord, CA for Basic Training and then on to the Guided Missile School at Ft Bliss, TX. From there, he was sent to White Sands Proving Ground, NM where he had a “NEW AND UNUSUAL EXPERIENCE’ of firing four Corporal Missiles with a range of 125 miles. Unfortunately, he lost his hearing in the process. In 1956, he departed to Ansbach, Germany where he was assigned to the Corporal Missile Program. While there, he and two other soldiers bought an Opal (car) and toured Italy, Switzerland, Austria, France, Belgium, Holland Denmark.

Mick married Barbara State on 20 June 1959; they had two children, a son David and a daughter Susan.  Mick worked for Phillips Petroleum for one year and then Wayne Feeds out of Chicago.

Since 1969, Mick lived in Windom, MN and is a member of the Golden Eagles, Kiwanis Club, and the American Legion.
