b. 09 Jan 1951; d. 16 Jun 2014. Dick Joel Flatgard, son of Alfred Joseph and Leona Anna (Swanson) Flatgard, was born in Lakefield, MN, and later attended Windom Public Schools in Windom, MN.
He was inducted into the U.S. Army in Jan 1970 and sent to Fort Lewis, WA, for basic training. Dick later served in Vietnam, where he was exposed to the chemical Agent Orange. He was discharged in 1972.
During his non-military working career, Dick lived all over the midwestern and eastern United States, working for the airline industry in large airports. His most recent job was as a Security Officer with the TSA at Minneapolis/St Paul International Airport.
Dick Flatgard died at his home in Minneapolis and is buried at Lakeview Cemetery in Windom.
