b. 24 Mar 1928, d. 11 Mar 2010.  DeWayne Ellwood Grev was born to Simon and Irene (Jacobson) Grev in Monterey (now Trimont) MN. He graduated from the St. James High School, in St. James, MN in 1946.

In 1946, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in Japan.

In 1951, he married Dorothy Peters; they had 6 children. The family lived and farmed together in the Odin, MN area before DeWayne began working for Land O’Lakes from 1960-1990. DeWayne then was employed part-time at Kennel-Aire for 6 years. During the last years of his life, he lived in Mt. Lake, MN.

DeWayne was a life-time member of VFW in Butterfield, MN.

Buried at the St. Olaf Lutheran Cemetery near Odin, MN.
