b. 28 Jul 1948.  David John Frederickson, son of Marcus and Sylvia (Johnson) Frederickson, graduated from Windom High School in 1966.  He was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force at Lackland AFB, TX, in Sep 1970 and sent to Moody AFB, GA, to begin ‘Pilot training’.

Later during his military career, David served at Mather AFB, CA (1971); Homestead AFB, FL (1971); and Bentwaters RAF Station, England (1974).  He also served in Southeast Asia during the Vietnam War; in mid-1974, he was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for prior service in Southeast Asia, as a ‘F-4 Phantom Weapon Systems Officer’.

David married Sophie Eileen Fahrenholz on 21 Aug 1971.
