b. 17 May 1973. Dan Rogers Kuecker was born and raised in Windom, MN, to Ron and Diane Kuecker. He graduated from high school in Windom, MN in 1991.

In 1995, Dan earned a BA in Government/International Affairs from Augustana College in Sioux Falls, SD. He then entered the U.S. Army with Basic Training in Fort Leonard Wood, MO and then transferred to Officer Candidate School in Fort Benning, GA, earning an officer commission.  After completing Airborne training, he graduated from the Air Defense Artillery Officer Basic Course in El Paso, TX with the ranking of Major. His first assignment was a Platoon Leader and Tactical Control Office with the 6th Battalion, 52nd ADA in Ansbach, Germany where he served a 6 month deployment to Saudi Arabia as the senior Tactical Control Officer.  He was honorably discharged in 1999, and shortly thereafter, he entered the University of Iowa College of Law.  Upon graduation, he returned to active duty as an attorney and was assigned to Fort Lewis, WA where he served as Prosecutor, Administrative Law Attorney and Legal Assistance Attorney.  In 2004, he volunteered for a twelve month deployment to Mosul, Iraq.  In 2008, Dan was sent to Fort Gordon, GA, where he served as Attorney-Advisor of the 513th Military Intelligence Brigade.  In 2011, after receiving an LLM from the U.S. Army’s JAG School in Charlottesville, VA, he was assigned to Fort Bragg, NC where he served as the Attorney-Advisor for the 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment Delta (Airborne). In 2014, he served as Deputy Staff Judge Advocate for the U.S. Army Special Forces Command Airborne at Ft. Bragg.  In 2015, he served as the Executive Officer and Commanding General Aide-De-camp at the U.S. Army Legal Center and School in Charlottesville, VA.

Major Kuecker’s awards and decorations include the following: Bronze Star Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal with Two Oak Leaf Clusters, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal with One Oak Leaf Cluster, Joint Service Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Medal (Service), Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Combat Action Badge, and Parachutist Badge.

Major Kuecker is a member of the Minnesota Bar for licensed attorneys and is a lifetime member of the VFW and AUSA.

Dan married Lisa Nicole Moran on 8 Dec 2005; they have one son, and have served as foster parents.  Dan and Lisa own multiple Anytime Fitness Clubs. Dan is a member of the VFW and the Association of the U.S. Army.
