b. 15 Nov 1918; d. 5 Nov 2005.  Christian “Chris” S. Cohrs was born in rural Dovray, MN to Henry and Christine (Comnick) Cohrs.

He served in the Conservation Corps and from 1941-1945 he served in the Army ending rank as a Corporal.  He served in several battles and campaigns in Rhineland and Central Europe; receiving the Asiatic-Pacific Theater service medal, the European African-Middle Eastern Theater service medal, and the American Defense service medal with Bronze Star.

He married Delores Hass of Westbrook on 25 Nov 1946.  They had 1 daughter.  Chris was a talented mechanic and hydraulic assembler.  They lived in Westbook, moved to Echo in 1957, and finally Granite Falls, MN in 1963.
