b. 30 Aug 1914; d. 1 Dec 2000.  Carl Andrew Olson was born to Ole John and Gertrude Olson in Spencer, IA. He graduated from Westbrook High School in 1933.  He worked at the Chevrolet garage until he and his brother built the Standard Station in Westbrook which they operated together for many years.

During WWII, Carl served in the U.S. Army in campaigns in North Africa, Sicily, and Italy. He was in 6 campaigns and was in active duty for 40 months.  He earned a Silver and Bronze star for his service.

After he returned home, he owned and operated the Mobil Station in Westbrook and worked part-time in maintenance at the Westbrook High School.

On 1 Nov 1951, he married Edith Christianson; they had 3 sons

He was a former post commander and charter member of the VFW.

Buried at the Westbrook Cemetery, Westbrook, MN.
