b. 01 Sep 1933; d. 22 Mar 1993.  Arnold Dean “Arnie” Peters, son of Herman P. and Elizabeth (Baer) Peters, was born in Mountain Lake, MN.  He attended Mountain Lake Public Schools, graduating in 1953.

Shortly after graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served four years with the 63rd Fighter Interceptor Squadron at Wheelus Air Base and tours of duty in Libya, North Africa, Italy, and Greece. His military specialty was electrical instruction and a repairman for jet planes. He was discharged in Aug 1957 and received a National Defense Service Medal and a Good Conduct Medal for his service.

After military service Arnold came back to the Mountain Lake area and owned and operated Peters Plumbing, Heating, and Air Conditioning.  He married Delores Smith on 8 Aug 1957; they had one daughter and one son.  They made their home in Mountain Lake.

Arnie was a member and a Commander of the American Legion  in Mountain Lake. He also was on the Mt. Lake Fire Department Rescue Squad, a member of the Presbyterian Church and the President for the Prairieland Antique/Classic Auto Club.

Arnie Peters died at the Windom Area Hospital in 1993 and is buried at the Mountain Lake Cemetery.
