b. 2 Mar 1919, d. 14 Jul 2008.  Adrian John Hislop was born to R. Guy and Emma (Senesac) Hislop.  He graduated from Jeffers High School, Jeffers, MN, in 1938, then attended Mankato State College and Dunwoody Institute.

In 1943, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He was assigned to the radar division aboard the Aircraft Carrier  USS Bismarck Sea which was stationed among a fleet of ships off the coast of Iwo Jima. He later was assigned to the Battleship USS Pennsylvania that saw action in Okinawa, Japan.  He was honorably discharged in 1945.

In 1944, he married Hope Evelyn Noble; they had 3 daughters.  After completing his military duty, they lived in Windom, MN where Adrian worked in an electrical shop for 6 years.  He then worked as an inspector for the Toro Company and remained in Toro’s Quality Control Department for 32 years.

Member of the American Legion and DAV.

Buried at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Cemetery, Windom, MN.
